  • I am not paneled with insurance companies, meaning I am an out-of-network provider. Payment is due at the time of service, and I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for partial reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider to understand their coverage for out-of-network services, as reimbursement rates and policies can vary. Some plans may not cover out-of-network providers at all, while others may require meeting a deductible before coverage begins. Reimbursement eligibility depends on your policy and the type of license your provider holds. HSA cards are an accepted payment method.

Sessions will also be canceled if you arrive more than 15 minutes late, and the full session fee will apply. This policy helps ensure that time remains available for those who need it while respecting the commitment we’ve made to our work together.

  • On January 1st, 2022, the No Surprises Act took effect, requiring providers to clearly inform clients of their right to a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) for service costs. You will receive a GFE as part of your intake paperwork at the start of paid services.

FAQs

  • Sex therapy is a specialized form of therapy that addresses sexual concerns, integrating psychological, relational, and physical aspects of sexuality. While traditional therapy focuses on emotional and mental well-being, sex therapy specifically helps individuals and relationships navigate issues like desire discrepancies, sexual dysfunction, communication struggles, and intimacy challenges. It provides a safe, non-judgmental space to explore these concerns and develop strategies for improving sexual well-being.

  • Each session is personalized to fit your unique needs and goals. We’ll start by discussing your concerns, background, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Depending on your situation, we may explore topics like your sexual history, beliefs about sex, communication patterns, or any physical concerns. Therapy may also include exercises to practice at home, such as improving communication, enhancing intimacy, or managing anxiety and stress related to sex.

  • Yes, confidentiality is a fundamental aspect of therapy. I follow strict ethical guidelines to protect your privacy. What you share in our sessions remains between us, except in certain legal situations (e.g., risk of harm to yourself or others).

  • The duration of sex therapy depends on the nature of the issues and your individual goals. Some people achieve their desired outcomes in just a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy. In our initial sessions, we will discuss your goals and create a plan that best fits your needs
